Edith Cowan
University, Singapore Students Association (ECU SSA)
ECU’s SSA
started as early as 1998 where it was initially called Club Singapura. It was
then renamed 'Singapore Students Association' in 2004 by our founding President
Fozzil Jaffar. Our association serves to bring
together camaraderie among fellow Singaporean Students studying in ECU as well
as those studying in other universities around Perth. In addition, our
association serves to
offer advice and assistance to new students in order for them to better adapt in
their new environment with ease. With continued support from the university,
valued members and affiliates, our association has steadily established itself
over the years, making its mark and presence felt in Western Australia.
ECU SSA remains active in organizing
various social events throughout the academic year, such events bring students
together and help them form new friendships. Social events include Welcome Parties, Movie Nite
and the Cup of Nations soccer tournament during ECU's multicultural week. ECU SSA
also explores possibilities for events that are collaborated with other
universities. These events include Mambo Nite and the grand Raffles Ball.
